Academic Life

Whether you’ve already decided on a college major or are still thinking about a course of study, Hofstra is a great place for you. All told, Hofstra offers 2,150 courses in more than 145 undergraduate programs in the liberal arts, sciences, engineering, business, communication, education and the performing arts. Plus, with a 14-to-1 student-faculty ratio and an average class size of 22, you’ll be able to know your professors and have your questions answered.

Campus Life

Hofstra is large enough to allow you to be your own person but not so large that you can’t find others who share your passions. With just under 8,000 undergraduate students, you’ll never run out of new people to meet, and there are hundreds of clubs and organizations to join. You’ll find yourself building a broad array of friendships that range from those you meet in class, to those you meet in your residence hall, to those you meet in a club or organization.
