Step 10: Consider a technical school or community college

If you have a career in mind and want to get started in the field immediately, consider attending a technical school or community college after high school. Two-year degree programs at community colleges or technical schools can prepare you for hands-on careers, such as radiological technician, massage therapist, paramedic, medical assistant, and more. You can also consider transferring credits from your two-year degree to a four-year school later to earn a bachelor's degree. Before you choose your next step, get plenty of info, understand how you learn best, and think about what you would like to do as a career. Add community colleges and technical schools to your search!
