College.it scares me. I always hear about how hadr its supposed to be, and how the teachers are supposed to be aliens from the planet, Give A Lot of Very Hard Homework. well you know what I mean. I want to know is it really that bad.

The thought of college terrifies me too! I learned from my sister that college isn't nearly as hard as it seems on TV. She in her second year of college, and I went to stay with her recently. She only had three classes a day! I was expecting her to be gone all day and to come back really late at night, but she was at her home with me most of my visit. I thought it was strange, so I asked her if it was hard. She said it was frustrating at times, but never truly hard. But that's just my sister- she's a supergenius! She also said that the professors treat each and every student with respect, treating them like equals! She goes to a state university (University of Oklahoma or OU) so the school may be very different from other colleges, but I am confident that not all colleges are scary.
So I think, from my experience with my sister, that college is only hard if you make it!

College can be fun if you work at it.  A large majority of students come to college thinking that it's one giant party.  It's not.  It takes a couple of bad grades and/or failed classes for those students to buckle down and realize that it takes organization and time management to succeed.  Those who come in focused on their goals usually make it through without a hitch.  Family support really helps.  I'm doing sophomore English, and if it weren't for my mom encouraging me, I'd be really frustrated with it.
Although I'm not doing too badly.
