On June 9, 2007 my mother woke me up and told me to get dressed. She left my room without explaining where we were going or when we would get back home. It was unusual because my mother always told me where we were going. I didn't bother to ask. I just got dreesed and got into the car, just as she instructed.
I noticed that the ride kept getting longer and longer. The longer we rode, the more suspicius I became. After 2 hours of driving, we pulled into a parking lot that had a building with no sign on it. When my mother and I out of the car, a lady ran up with a sign that I didn't bother to read. When I got inside of the building the lady at the receptionist desk asked, "Do you have an appointment for the abortion?" I gave my mother a puzzled look while she answered, "Yes." The lady gave me a stack of papers and instructed me to sign them.
I walked outside and told my mother I couldn't do it because I didn't be;ieve in it. Abortion meant murder and a sign of hatred. She yelled until I couldn't take it any more. Finally, we went back into the building and she forced me to sign the life of my child away. I didn't want to, but I felt like was obligated to.
To this day I still hate the fact that she would want take the life of an innocent child for her own selfish reasons. I felt that if I didn't, I would lose her love, and that was the last thing I needed. Its been a year and I still haven't forgiven myself or my mother and in the end I did I lose her love.
I learned a valuable lesson. The lesson is make your own decisions and people will have no other choice but to accept and respect them. Even if you lose them or their love, you don't do anything that you're against. I've also been doing websites and speaking to other girls online about teen pregnancy. I think its important that I help someone else so that they won't have to be placed in the same situation as me.
